CBD has been deeply disappointed by the race to succeed Ita Buttrose as the chair of the ABC. Firstly, because nobody wants to make it known that they’re actually in the running, and secondly, because most of the names that reach our desk tend to be ageing media has-beens.

Amid all that, recently departed ABC board member Joe Gersh has an idea, taking to LinkedIn to reiterate the case for the public broadcaster having its first Indigenous chair, which he said was especially crucial after the Voice to Parliament referendum’s defeat.
